Projects and Rewards
CrowdFunding Site allows your users to submit projects full of details and meta data such as images, expiration dates, goals and value, and sponsor information. They can also keep track of funding, update funders on the project’s progress, maintain their sponsor account information and more. As an administrator you can edit these projects before publishing, as well as create and manage projects your own projects right from the WordPress dashboard.
Our unique funding limit options provides much more control than other providers. If a minimum funding amount is set for a project, the contributors will only be charged after that goal is met. A public facing goal amount can be set greater that the minimum funding amount, allowing your users to encourage additional giving. There is also a Maximum Funding field, so that you can optionally set the maximum funding the project can earn. A Maximum Funding Per User field limits the maximum amount each user can contribute. All of this is fully automated with no additional management necessary once projects are created.
You can also create a variety of purchase options allowing each user to contribute a single amount (i.e. $5) or a variety of amounts (e.g. $1, $5 or more, $10 or more, etc.). These amounts are set on a per-project basis and can be attached to certain aspects of your total goal or rewards that contributors can earn. Some CrowdFunding Site themes allow your users to contribute any amount at all, outside of a specific contribution option.
CrowdFunding Site contributions are made via a full cart and checkout process which collects billing information, shipping details (if necessary), and can apply shipping and tax charges on a project-by-project basis. There are also gifting options so users can gift their rewards. Of course, CrowdFunding Site supports multiple payment gateways, including Paypal Adaptive Payments, Paypal Payments Standard, Paypal Payments Pro, Authorize.net, and NMI Payments. Many additional gateways are available via add-on, including: Payfast, Payment Express, Beanstream, Pagseguro, Bluepay, Moneris, Sagepay, and more.
Persistent carts allow customers to come back at a later time and complete their purchase.
Customers are given their own account in which they can edit their profile information, view funded deals, earn referral credits, and view their invoices. There are also separate sponsor profiles featured in a directory on your site, allowing funders to find the perfect projects. Customers easily can browse the directory to learn more about each business. There are even sponsor reports so users can keep track of who has contributed to their projects. Administrators have access to additional reporting and stats.
Users can also be rewarded for sharing offers that generate purchases. Social media integration, including ShareThis and Bitly, makes this process even easier.
Sales Management and Administrator Reports
Making full use of WordPress custom posts and taxonomies all content is fully manageable within the dashboard. That means Projects, Sponsors, Payments, Orders, Accounts, Gifts, and Invoices can all be edited with no programming experience. Within the projects admin panel you can quickly check the performance of published projects to see how many contributions have been made, whether the min/max funding limits were met, as well as the expiration dates for any project. Moreover, you can easily export all reports to a CSV file.
Feature Rich Themes
CrowdFunding Site themes are fully integrated with the WordPress customizer, allowing you to set custom colors and fonts right from the WordPress dashboard. Additional styling can be done with custom CSS and child themes, all without breaking your ability to automatically upgrade. The themes also integrate with WordPress Menus and Widgets, allowing you to customize your top menu on the fly as well as add menus and other widgets to your sidebars and footer. Users are also given custom login and registration pages, fully integrated with the look and feel of your theme. End users never enter the WordPress dashboard.
Projects can also be classified by location, allow users to subscribe to locations to be informed when a new project is launched in their selected area. This feature is integrated with email subscription services MailChimp and Constant Contact. System generated email notifications can be completely customized right from the WordPress dashboard, you can even create your own HTML emails.
All this is built using WordPress’ custom post types and taxonomies, allowing it to integrate with most third-party WordPress backup solutions. This also leaves your Pages and Posts free to build out traditional blogging features side-by-side with SCS’ features.
